Planning a wedding is not an easy task, you most probably have read lots of information about how to choose your best wedding venue, what wedding dress styles you should look for this year, advices on how to choose your best man and 10, 15,20... questions to ask your wedding photographer.
I have wrote this post to help you understand how I work and what to expect in order to help you decide if I am the right photographer for you.
Where to start?
If you have already checked my web site and you like what you see, then you have to think whether you need a photographer for ceremony only, a bit longer or you want to capture your day from the very beginning till the first dance. You can also check my wedding packages page to get an idea what budget you need. If you are happy with everything it is a good time to say 'Hello!'.
Next Step
I usually recommend the couples to meet with me in person in my nice and cosy studio, where I have lots of wedding albums, calendars, wall products to show and to discuss your wedding day.
If you are happy with what you know and see and ready to go further, we sign the contract and we ask 25% retainer to secure your date.
On the day
On the day I can start at any time you need me. I work in a mixture of styles: documentary, portriture, editorial. During the day I am creating your wedding story through the lens of my camera. I might walk around and take natural photos or I can ask the bride and groom to go with me to create beautiful portrait. I also pay lots of attention to small details and decorations.
After the wedding
After the wedding it will take me 2-3 weeks to prepare the photographs for you and to design the album. After that I invite you to the studio to show you everything. After you are happy with the design I send it to Italy to be handmade and turned into a masterpiece that you will cherish.
How long in advance should we book our wedding with you?
I advise you to contact me when you have booked your venue to avoid disappointment.
How many photos shall we receive?
Every wedding is individual and I do not count how many photos I take during the day, I am creating your story and I will do as many photos as it is needed to show your day. Usually for the 10 hours package you will receive around 600 images.
Are you insured?
Yes, I am a full time professional photographer and I am fully insured.
When shall we receive photos after our wedding?
Usually my couples receive all their photos within 3-4 weeks time and a wedding album within 8 weeks after viewing session.
Do you do group shots?
Yes, I have a number of group photographs that I do on every wedding, but I advise my couples to think about the list of groups they would like to capture on the day, as every couple is individual and situations in the families can be different and they know better what groups we must take and what we need to avoid.
What if...
Do you have back up cameras or lenses if your gears break?
Yes of course, I have a few cameras, lenses, spare cards, batteries, etc.
What if you are unwell to cover our wedding?
I have photographed more then 100 weddings and I have never missed any, but if it happens I will try to find a substitute for myself, the photographer who works in the same style as me. If you are not happy with this option then I will refund you the retainer.
What if it rains?
The British weather is unpredictable and this is what we cannot control. If you are brave enough we can still do some rainy photos, but you will probably need to buy umbrellas and wellies :)
or we can wait till the Sun is back again
or find a perfect spot where the rain cannot get us and create some beautiful memories.
Looking for something different
If I need extra hours can I book you for longer?
Yes, of course, I can stay longer. Extra hour will be £75
I checked your packages, but I want something different.
If you want something different, get in touch with me and we can find a solution.
